Police Give Details about the Incident near Ormoz

Ljubljana, 19 December - An immigrant from Iran, whose identity is still unknown, was shot dead on Monday evening near Ormoz, eastern Slovenia, the director of the Maribor police, Milan Cus, told press on Tuesday. He explained that policemen tried to stop two cars with illegal immigrants which crossed the Slovene-Croatian border. A smuggler of immigrants, who escaped from the car, pushed one of the policemen triggering his gun. A bullet from the gun hit one of the immigrants and killed him.
