Delo Wonders What Will Become of Yugoslavia after Saturday's Elections

Ljubljana, 22 December - The process of democratisation, for which Kostunica and his associates believe that it can preserve the federation and intact Serbia of its own accord, fortifies ethnic boundaries and cannot contribute to their elimination until a consensus has been reached on the territory where they are drawn. The 90s manifested that in the region, but the new authorities in Belgrade have not realised it yet. Things may change after the elections, Delo suggests in Friday's issue, stressing the importance of Saturday's parliamentary elections for Serbia and indirectly also for Yugoslavia. Let us be taken by pleasant surprise; there have been to many unpleasant ones as it is.
