Maribor, 22 December - It is surprising the parliament adopted the law on duty-free shops only on Thursday, when everybody knows that some minister of an incumbent ruling party pledged the closure of duty free shops years ago, while Brussels officials set it down on paper. Duty-free shops should have been closed when the parliament ratified the Europe Agreement and may times afterwards when Brussels officials called on Slovenia to fulfil its committments in the annual progress reports, Vecer points out in Friday's edition.
