Review of the Slovene Economy in the Week from 16 to 22 December
Ljubljana, 24 December - The government played a major role in shaping the economic scene in Slovenia this week with several decisions concerning the budget, agriculture and wages. The Ljubljana Stock Exchange finished the week up more than 3 percent, and is finishing a poor year in positive fashion. Slovenia's largest profit-maker Telekom Slovenia reported lower expected profits for this year, only a few days later it got some more bad news as the Slovene Anti-Monopoly Office brought charges against it and its Internet wing SiOL.
