President Kucan on Slovenia's Independence

Ljubljana, 26 December - The decision for independent Slovenia was a great project of history, which opened a path to the future for Slovenes, said the Slovene President, Milan Kucan, in a written interview for STA on the tenth anniversary of Slovenia's plebiscite. According to Kucan, the great majority of Slovenes opting for an independent state in the plebiscite showed that the nation was of one mind on this matter. The President has two more years until the end of his term, which in his words is "not much, but enough to do something in the crucial matters of the state".
