Over One Million Slovenes Are Mobitel Users

Ljubljana, 27 December - The largest Slovene mobile telecommunications operator, Mobitel, concluded the 2000 business year as anticipated, the company manager, Anton Majzelj told the press on Wednesday. According to him, the number of Mobitel users increased by 346,000 to over one million, while the company made an income of SIT 49 billion (233 million euros), up SIT 17 billion (80 million euros) over 1999. Mobitel made a profit of SIT 5.1 billion (24 million euros), which up from SIT 3.2 billion (15 million euros) in 1999.
