Slovene Gov't Adopts Macro-Fiscal Policy and Budget Outlines for 2001
Ljubljana, 28 December - At its session on Thursday the Slovene government adopted a macro-fiscal policy and budget outlines for 2001 and 2002. The government set itself the task to stop the negative state finance indicators from 2000 and to turn them into a trend of reducing the state finance deficit in 2001. For this purpose it will be necessary to find possibilities for additional budgetary income in the current account and in the financial debt recovery and investments, while expenditures will have to be harmonised to the budget deficit aimed for.
