Economic Growth Largely Generated by Exporters in 2000

Ljubljana, 29 December - Slovenia saw a 5.8-percent economic growth in the third quarter of the year, with the highest growth being recorded in manufacturing (11 percent), which has not seen such a large growth since 1992, said Karmen Hren of the National Statistical Office at a news conference on Friday. The Office on Friday released the data on this year's inflation, which is at 8.9 percent somewhat higher than last year's, presented the Statistical Yearbook 2000, and the publication Men and Women in Slovenia.
