Slovene Ecological Movement Calls for Preservation of Biological Diversity
Ljubljana, 29 December - At International Day for Biological Diversity the Slovene Ecological Movement drew attention to a number of well-drafted programmes which await implementation to preserve the exceptional identity of Slovenia and also Europe. The Slovene Ecological Movement pointed out that Slovenia is among areas with extraordinary biological diversity of forest, underground and water ecosystems, sea and Alpine world, and the karst. Slovenia is one of world's most diverse places in terms of biological and landscape diversity, which makes it very vulnerable, believes the organisation.
