The Ljubljana Stock Exchange Turns Over SIT 14.3 Billion
Ljubljana, 30 December - The last week of 2000 at the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, which comprised only three working days, was marked by a high turnover of SIT 14.3 billion (68 million euros), SIT 11.7 billion (56 million euros) of which were accounted by lot deals. While the free market index IPT lost 9.89 percent to stand at 1628.22 points, the share index SBI gained 0.06 percent to 1807.28 points and the authorised investment companies' index PIX closed the week at 1521.24 points, up 2.54 percent from the week before. The BIO bond index was up 0.5 percent to 109.04 points.
