Slovenia Expects European Commission to Be Actively Involved in Resolution of Succession Issues
Ljubljana, 1 February - "We understand the statement in that the European Commission will become actively involved in (attempts to resolve) succession issues regarding the former Yugoslavia, enhancing the negotiations towards their prompt settlement, for which we are grateful to the European Commission," the Government Office for European Affairs (SVEZ) said in a press release on Thursday in response to yesterday's statement given by a spokesmen of the Enlargement Commissioner Guenter Verheugen about the debt of a former Slovene bank to Croatian savers.
