Opposition MPs Withdraw from Top Positions in Parliament
Ljubljana, 1 February - MPs from the Coalition Slovenia, consisting of Social Democrats (SDS) and the New Slovenia (NSi), resigned Thursday from the top parliamentary positions after the coalition parties rejected the proposals filed by SDS, NSi and SNS which would give these thee opposition parties the majority of seats in two supervisory bodies. The resignation was tendered also by National Assembly Deputy Speaker Miha Brejc (SDS).
