Surprising Wilhelm Surprises Herself With the Gold
Pokljuka, 3 February - "I did not expect that I would gain the title of world champion in such a tough race. After I missed one target I was hoping that I would remain calm and that I would shoot better. I managed to shoot better the next time around and since I skied very well I gained a high placing," said Germany's Kati Wilhelm following her win in the 7.5 km women's sprint event at the Biathlon World Championships held on Pokljuka. Wilhelm suprised most as this was only the second top-three placing and third top-ten placing this season.
