Russian Rostovtsev Repeats Gold Medal Effort, Slovenia's Globocnik 8th

Ljubljana, 4 February - Russia's Pavel Rostovtsev repeated his feat from Saturday's sprint and captured the gold in the men's 12.5 km pursuit event at the Biathlon World Championships on Slovenia's Pokljuka. Rostovtsev finished with a time 34:21.3, 5.9 seconds ahead of the silver medal winning Frenchman Raphael Poiree. Germany's Sven Fischer rounded up the top-three, finishing 45.6 seconds behind the winning Russian. Slovenia's Tomas Globocnik finished in eighth place, 1:21.2 seconds behind the winner.
