Golden World Championships for Rostovtsev

Pokljuka, 4 February - "I felt good at the beginning, but the missed shot in the first round somewhat took the wind out of my sail. After that even the skis did not run like they should have, that is why I had to use more energy. This was the reason behind another penalty round, however, when Rapahel (Poiree) caught up in the last part of the course, I was sure in my victory. Those who know me, know that I can beat anyone in the last 200 metres," commented World Champion Pavel Rostovtsev of Russia, following his close victory in today's 12.5 km pursuit event at the Biahtlon World Championships on Pokljuka. The victory gave Rostovtsev back-to-back gold medals following his win in yesterday's sprint event.
