Ljubljana, 6 February - The national security council, as is obvious from its name, should be placed above any balance of power among political parties. Due to its complexity, national security cannot be a matter of only one political party or the current ruling coalition. But, as it appears in all its banality, the council has been reduced to function as an executive comittee, as if only the government was able to provide for the well-being of Slovenes, writes the major Slovene paper in its Tuesday's edition.
