Koper, 6 February - Slovene police have uncovered an "extremely well organised international criminal gang smuggling immigrants from Croatia across Slovenia to Italy". In a year-long operation
police traced out two main organisers, both of Ljubljana, who were charging immigrants between 1,500 and 1,700 Deutsche marks a head for transport across Slovenia. Both have been in custody since 17 January, Koper criminal police office chief Srecko Smodis told the press on Tuesday.
