Slovene Minority Representatives Meet Province's Top Officials

Trieste, 7 February - ITALY/SLOVENIA/MINORITY
Representatives of Slovene organisations in Italy met with the head of the provincial government of Friuli-Venezia Guilia, Roberto Antonione, after staging a protest to draw attention to financial difficulties resulting from the fact that the minority bill has not been passed yet. Antonione said the provincial government would do all in its power to enable Slovene institutions in Italy to resume their activity, adding that part of the responsibility for the financial crisis of these minority institutions lies with the Italian government.
