Slovenia Close to EU Average in Giving State Aid

Ljubljana, 8 February - Slovenia's is not far from the EU average in allocating state aid, says the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Finances, Andreja Kert. However aside from legal harmonisation, an economic adjustment will also be necessary, as for the most part state funding is not supervised in terms of how the aid is spent. According to Kert, state aid could boost Slovenia's economy, if the businesses had to repay the funds if they did not improve their operations after having received aid.
