Preseren Day Marked by Slovene Embassies around the World
Ljubljana, 8 February - Slovene Day of Culture was marked by Slovene embassies around the world on Wednesday evening, the eve of the holiday. The Slovene embassy in Paris celebrated together with Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, who was on a visit to France, while the Slovene embassy to Warsaw hosted a literary evening dedicated to Slovene poet France Preseren (1800-1849), who died to the day, and Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz (1798-1855).
