Slovenia and Croatia Could Reach Compromise on the Sea Border, Says Rupel
Zagreb, 9 February - Slovenia and Croatia could reach a compromise on the sea border, Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel told the Croatian national television on Friday. The problem of the sea border and the Piran Bay must be tackled as two seperate issues, stressed Rupel and assured that the countries can harmonise their interests in concern to the sea border question. According to Rupel, Croatia can keep its border with Italy, while Slovenia would keep its access to the open sea in this case.
