A lasting peace in South Eastern Europe as well as political and economic stability of the region are of key importance for Slovenia as its national security and economic development depend upon them, Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel pointed out on Monday as he addressed a meeting of the heads of groups partaking in the first working table of SE Europe Stability Pact at Brdo pri Kranju, some 25 km north of Ljubljana.
