Slovene Officials Hail the Adoption of Minority Protection Law in Italy
Ljubljana/Rome, 14 February - The adoption of the protection law for the Slovene ethnic minority in Italy is a great achievement for Slovenes on both sides of the border as well as for the democratic Italy, which is open to the world and is oriented into the future, Slovene President Milan Kucan said after the law was passed by Italian Senate on Wednesday. A similar opinion was voiced by other senior state officials, who see the adoption of the law as an encouragement to bilateral relations between Slovenia and Italy.
