Trade Unions to Submit 5000 Signatures to Postpone Duty-Free Shop Transformation

Ljubljana, 19 February - Trade union officials have collected over 5100 signatures in support of the postponement of the transformation of duty-free shops on borders between the EU and Slovenia, which will be presented to Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor on Tuesday. The transformation date the trade unions suggest is 1 January 2002 and not 1 June 2001 as foreseen by the government.
