Vecer on U.S. Fear of Europe's New Allies

Ljubljana, 22 February - Observers have realised soon after the recent Munich conference on security policy that the trans-Atlantic alliance between the new U.S. administration and Europe will not be the same as under the Clinton administration. The gap between European allies and the U.S. was the widest in a decade at the moment when George Bush's envoys tried to force the U.S. national missile defence system upon Europe, Vecer writes on Thursday.
