Stability Pact: Return of Refugees and Education Main Tasks of Slovene Co-Presidency
Bled, 24 February - STABILITYPACT/CONFERENCE
The three-day conference on democracy, human rights and the safeguarding of ethnic and religious minorities in Southeastern Europe taking place at the lake-side resort of Bled, northwest, as part of the SE Europe Stability Pact continued through Saturday. More than one hundred experts, politicians and religious dignitaries from SE European countries and international organisation are discussing the results and shortfalls of the development of democracy, reconstruction and protection of cultural heritage of minorities and the contribution of religious communities to reconciliation. In the first half of 2001 Slovenia is co-presiding over the first working table of the Stability Pact, that is the working table for democracy and human rights.
