Weekly Review of Slovenia's Economy from 17 to 23 February

Ljubljana, 25 February - Minister of Transport Jakob Presecnik and his Italian counterpart Pier Luigi Bersani on 23 February signed an agreement which sets down the approximate course of the proposed high-capacity and high-speed railway line Venice-Trieste-Ljubljana and its construction by the year 2015. The breakthrough came following six years of differing views on the course of the rail-link between Slovenia and Italy which is part of the pan-European transport corridor linking Barcelona and Kiev.
