Justice and Home Affairs the Greatest Schengen Challenge

Brussels, 27 February - Slovenia has almost fully harmonised its legislation in the field of justice and home affairs. The basic legislation was adopted in 1999 and 2000, so the main concern now are executive acts. The greatest challenge nevertheless remains the establishment of the Schengen border-regime, which Slovenia, due to a lack human and financial resources, will only be able to achieve with the help of the EU, Slovene MP Majda Potrata told European Parliament officials on Tuesday.
