Mobilkom Austria Acquires a 49-Percent Stake in Simobil

Ljubljana, 27 February - After eight months of negotiations Slovene shareholders of the Slovene mobile telephony operator Simobil and the Swedish telecommunication company Telia sold their shares to Austria's Mobilkom and the Slovene company Teleimpuls, 49-percent of which is owned by Mobilkom. Thus the Austrian mobile telephony operator Mobilkom, a subsidiary company of the Austrian telephony operator Telekom Austria, acquired a 49-percent stake in Slovenia's second largest mobile telephony operator. Another 26 percent plus one share was acquired by Teleimpuls.
