SKB Bank Prepared for Merger with French Bank

SKB bank's total assets amounted to SIT 323 billion (1.5 billion euros) in 2000, up five percent over 1999, which places the bank as third in Slovenia, according to SKB's Chairman of the Board Cvetka Selsek. The bank also sold its minority share in the Generali SKB insurance company to the Vienna-based Generali Holding in 2000, as it was planning to merge with France's Societe Generale (SG), which is developing its own insurance network.
