Minority Protection Act for Slovenes in Italy to Come into Force Later in March
Rome, 1 March - SLOVENIA/ITALY/MINORITY
The act protecting the Slovene minority living in Italy, which was passed by the Italian Senate on 14 February, is expected to come into force in the second half of March. The act was signed by Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi on 23 February, and by the Italian Justice Minister Piero Fassino a day later.
