Lisca Makes Profits of 653,000 Euros in 2000

Sevnica, 1 March - The Slovene company Lisca, a producer of lingerie, swimsuits and blouses, last year made a turnover of SIT 5.833 billion (27.2 million euros) according to unaudited accounts, up 12.4 percent from 1999. The company's net profits amounted to SIT 139.8 million (653,000 euros), a rise of around SIT 1 million (4,600 euros) from the previous year. The operating profit, which totalled over SIT 100 million (467,000 euros) in 1999, rose to almost SIT 250 million (1.1 million euros) in 2000.
