Slovenia Bans Imports of Hoofed Animals from Bosnia

Ljubljana, 3 March - Because of the unclear situation that arose from the recent eruption and rapid spread of animal diseases, Slovenia on Saturday imposed a ban on the import of hoofed animals from Bosnia and their transport through Slovene territory. The decree, which was published in the latest issue of the Official Gazette, is one of the measures taken by the Slovene Veterinary Administration in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases from other countries.
