Ljubljana, 18 March - Former Finance Minister Mitja Gaspari was Slovene President Milan Kucan's designate for Governor of Bank of Slovenia, proposed to the Parliament in the past week. The government also dismissed Post of Slovenia's general manager Marija Ribic and invited tenders for licenses for the third generation of mobile telecommunications UMTS. The Slovene Veterinary Administration (VURS) took measures as the foot-and-mouth disease emerged in France.
