Wallonia Wishes to See Closer Economic Co-operation with Slovenia

Ljubljana, 19 March - A government and business delegation of the Belgian region of Wallonia, headed by Belgian Economics Minister and Vice-President of Wallonia Serge Kubla, on Monday met with Slovene Economics Minister Tea Petrin. Petrin and Kubla discussed ways to encourage individual fields of economy and the role of state subsidies in doing so. Mid-term economic development in Slovenia and its priorities, the country's progress in joining the EU, and the potential to strengthen bilateral economic co-operation between Slovenia and Wallonia were also on the meeting's agenda.
