Foreign Minister Rupel Expresses Support for Macedonia

Skopje/Ljubljana, 21 March - Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel paid a visit to Macedonia on Wednesday, in the face of the mounting crisis there. During talks with Macedonian counterpart Srdjan Kerim and Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski, Rupel expressed Slovenia's concern over the "armed attacks on the traditional inter-ethnic cohabitation in Macedonia". Rupel confirmed that Slovenia supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Macedonia, while he condemned the use of force to reach political goals.
