Slovene Vets Pleased with Measures against Foot-and-Mouth Disease
Ljubljana, 26 March - A special team of veterinary experts in charge of controlling diseases assessed on Monday that the measures taken at the Slovene-Italian border crossings Fernetici (Fernetti) and Vrtojba (Sant Andrea), as well as those taken at the Brnik airport in a bid to prevent the spread of foot-and-mouth disease to Slovenia were satisfactory, as barriers with disinfectants placed at these locations in their opinion provide an adequate protection.
