Belgium: Slovenia Has the Status of a Future EU Member State

Ljubljana, 27 March - Slovenia has not only the status of an EU candidate country, but that of a future EU member state, Annemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck, state secretary for European affairs to the Belgian Foreign Ministry, said after meeting Slovene Minister for European Affairs Igor Bavcar on Tuesday in Ljubljana. These words were used by the state secretary to praise Slovenia's efforts to qualify for full EU membership.
