Minister But Suggests Co-operatives to Unite and Buy Shares of Biggest Retailer
Ljubljana, 28 March - Close to one hundred farmers' co-operatives united in the Co-operative Union of Slovenia will have to start amalgamating their assets to create a kind of a goods centre. How the process will be conducted is still to be decided, but the fact is that the ever increasing capital concentration in retailing is determining the prices and conditions as well as influencing the agricultural policy, Agriculture Minister Franci But told officials of the Co-operative Union on Wednesday.
