Referendum Initiative on Telecommunications Bill Given Green Light

Ljubljana, 28 March - All legal demands necessary to start collecting signatures for a preliminary referendum on the telecommunications bill have been fulfilled, National Assembly Speaker Borut Pahor said on Wednesday. Following Tuesday's initiative filed by an interest group of investors into the public telephone network, Pahor set 2 April as the date to start collecting signatures, and 31 May to submit the 40,000 signatures required to call a preliminary referendum.
