U.S.-Slovene Relations are Very Good, Says Powell
Washington, 28 March - Following talks with Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell told Slovene journalists that the United States and Slovenia have excellent bilateral relations and added that he is looking forward to their strengthening in the future. Rupel informed Powell of Slovenia's interest for NATO membership, to which Powell replied with confirmation that U.S. President George W. Bush supports enlargement of the Alliance, while Slovenia is a very serious candidate.
