Dnevnik Examines the U.S. Decision to Cancel the Kyoto Protocol

Ljubljana, 31 March - Those who have not heard of the Kiribati may never do so, as this is one of the many chains of Pacific islands, threatened to be completely flooded by the rising waters if the atmosphere continues to heat up at current rates. The Kyoto Protocol was designed to protect the population of such islands from this catastrophe. Four years on the Protocol is practically dead in the U.S., and consequently everywhere else too, writes the daily Dnevnik on Saturday.
