Foreign Minister Rupel Wraps Up U.S. Visit

Washington, 31 March - Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel concluded his one week stay in the United States with a visit to the National Press Club in Washington D.C. on Friday. Rupel used the opportunity to present his visit to the U.S. and inform the gathered journalists of the Slovene efforts for membership in Euro-Atlantic institutions. Rupel told the gathered journalists that he expects that Slovenia will be a member of both the EU and NATO by 2004.
