Slovenia Becomes Full Member of Joint Aviation Authorities

Ljubljana, 5 April - Slovenia on Wednesday became member of the Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA), an organisation of European states that have agreed to co-operate in developing and implementing common safety regulatory standards and procedures. JAA membership was one of the conditions Slovenia had to fulfil before entering the EU, since the EU in December 1991 adopted Joint Aviation Requirements as EU requirements, said the Slovene Transport Ministry on Thursday.
