Book Publishing in Slovenia Increases in 1999

Ljubljana, 5 April - Book publishing in Slovenia increased by 6.8 percent in 1999 over 1998, with 3976 published book titles, according to the Slovene Statistical Office. However, more than one fifth of these publications were brochures. The number of serial publications at 1558 titles increased by 9.4 percent in 1999 over 1998.
