Slovenia Will Refer to Its Specificity and Differentiation Principle, Says Bavcar
Ljubljana, 11 April - Slovenia will continue to refer to its specificity in the accession negotiations when the freedom of movement of persons will be on the table. The country will point to a high price of labour force, its smallness and a low interest of Slovenes in working abroad. Slovenia will moreover argue with the principle of differentiation, Slovene Minister of European Affairs Igor Bavcar said on Wednesday in a response to the European Commission's position on the free movement of persons by which a seven-year transition period is to be introduced.
