Slovene Unemployment Rate at 5 Percent by 2006, Dimovski Tells Vecer

Maribor, 21 April - Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Vlado Dimovski, told the daily Vecer that the unemployment rate, measured according to the standards of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), could drop to seven percent by the end of the year and would be as low as five percent by 2006. The minister is hoping that the 2001 inflation rate can be kept at the forecasted 7.8-percent level.
