Slovenia Slides on Global Competition Scale
Ljubljana, 8 May - Slovenia has slided two spots to place 36th among 49 most important world economies in the Yearbook of Global Competition for 2001. The report covers 49 countries which make over 91 percent of the world's gross domestic product. It is prepared each year by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) from Lausanne, with Institute for Economic Research (IER) and the Ljubljana Faculty of Economics co-operating in the estimate for Slovenia.
