Foreign Affairs Committee Approves of Foreign Affairs Bill

Ljubljana, 9 May - The foreign affairs parliamentary committee backed the foreign affairs bill on Wednesday, which is now ready to be voted on in the Parliament. The bill is to replace the 1991 existing law as part of the harmonisation of Slovenia's legislation with the acquis, and is to ensure better efficiency in foreign affairs by transferring certain jurisdictions from the Parliament to the government, such as the ratification of some international treaties.
