Economic Forecasts: Inflation in 2001 to Stand at 6 Percent

Ljubljana, 10 May - Experts from the Slovene central bank have forecast this year's economic growth at around 3.4 percent, while they expect the deficit in the current account of the balance of payments to equal 2.6 percent of the GDP. The Bank of Slovenia also expects inflation to drop to 6 percent by the end of the year, it is written in the latest publication of the centre for analysis and research.
